HEATED APPLIANCES

I carry a real mix of electrical appliances to deal with all hair types and styles. My tools are all professional; I love using big heated rollers as they are perfect to achieve maximum volume and leave the hair really smooth. I use Japanese curling irons as they are designed for the dead straight Japanese hair and leave the hair with a really firm long lasting wave.

BRUSHES AND COMBS

I have a dressing hairbrush that I could not do without, a client bought it for me and I love it; a great paddle brush is a necessity as it really smoothes the hair whilst maintaining volume and shine; I use a dressing comb as a great all round comb, I have about 5 of these in my brush bag as I always leave them behind at shoots but this is one of my staple kit bag essentials.

ACCESSORIES

I have a separate bag for my accessories - for my more basic things I always make sure that I have parcel string, this is great if you are looking for a really tight ponytail, damp the string down, tie the ponytail securely, as the string dries it will expand and leave the best ponytail. Hat elastic is also great, I am lucky that I go to New York a lot and there is a great place in Mid Town called Rays Beauty Supplies, they stock great combs and tools, but there range of pins and grips are the best. I also love Boots and Fenwick's here for accessories they have a great selection and are really well priced. Muji also have great Japanese hair grips that again are designed to hold Japanese hair and they never bend or loosen so they really hold the hair.

Of course Topshop is great for trend driven accessories.
